PUBLIC SCHOOL VERSION OF WALK THROUGH THE FOUNDING DOCUMENTS

 

 

This presentation answers basic questions like:  1) What is government?  2) Why do we need government?  3) What kinds of government could we have?  4)  What kind of government did our founders give us?  Using a basketball and referee analogy we go on to cover the major point from each of our founding documents- The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and The Bill of Rights.

 

This combination of teaching, videos, music and audience participation is a great way to spark the interest of students in the forming of America.  It also emphasizes the powerful characteristics that made this nation so unique and special.  The Constitution will be boiled down to one simple thought that the students will long remember and appreciate.
